Vetiver announces expanded Summer tour dates, shares Aquarium Drunkard mixtape

To celebrate Complete Strangers, the latest collection of songs released under the Vetiver moniker, Cabic & co — an entirely new cast of players — will embark on a 10-day US tour, kicking off at the Desert Daze Festival in Mecca, CA and ending in New York at Bowery Ballroom.  June will see a run of California shows, ending with San Diego and LA shows with The Donkeys. EDJ [Eric D. Johnson of the Fruit Bats], his Easy Sound label mate, will support the North American shows in May and is also playing with the band for many of the upcoming dates.

 

The tour will mark the first time this collection of new songs — which Vogue calls “a once-familiar sound that builds and expands, prompting you to realize that, somewhere along the way, you have maybe grown and discovered a little too” — will be performed live.

 

Shortly after, Andy will then play a series of intimate concerts in Spain and Portugal with friend and frequent collaborator Devendra Banhart. A tour that has in the recent past brought the two on a intimate California jaunt in 2014 as well as the first of these tours, which occurred throughout Japan in 2012.
